In one of the most anticipated returns since the Derrick Rose era, Chicago Bulls guard Lonzo Ball made his first appearance since the 2022 season after overcoming a torrent amount of injuries.
Midway through the first quarter, Ball entered the game to a standing ovation. Ball told the Crusader that his father LaVar Ball gave him words of encouragement throughout the injury process. He said his main words were: “To keep going!”
And that’s exactly what Ball did on Wednesday night! The former first round pick drained a corner three-pointer on his first basket of the game. Scoring 10 points in the contest.
Ball and the Bulls outscored the T-Wolves 41-25 in the second quarter and led by as many as 18 points at one point during the game.
Although the T-Wolves would win the first, third and fourth quarter in Wednesday night’s contest, the Bulls managed to pull off the victory with several clutch plays down the stretch by Chicagoans.
Final Score: Bulls 125, T-Wolves 123
With the victory, the Bulls improved to 2-2 on the preseason and will play the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday, October 18, at the United Center. Game time 7 p.m.
